The basic concepts of pencil drawing: Prospect

Each artist should be able to represent a subject so how the volume looked, instead of flat, as if a paper surface on which it is drawn. So pencil drawing master have to choose right direction.
For this purpose the artist uses the reception named prospect.

For example, the brick drawn without use of prospect. It is called as a horizontal projection.

The brick drawn with use of prospect. It is called as drawing with prospect.
